I used to wait for plans to be perfect before taking action

In my early days of management, I recall how I used to delay launching initiatives or starting a project because I waited for everything to be perfectly aligned - the circumstances needed to be perfect. I felt that success would be hindered by an imperfect start, which would have a ripple effect on the everything else I did.

I was wrong.

Thanks to an amazing leader, Francois Theron, I learnt that one does not need to wait for everything to be perfect for you to start. There is nothing stopping you from making tweaks as you go and as you grow. As long as you have a firm foundation, dont delay the urge to just start and let loose. The attention and perspective you give to what you do, will be elevated and more concentrated, and will actually result in a better outcome.

OR - wait (forever) for the ideal situation…and achieve nothing.
